From Supplier to Partner: How Our Paper Won Over Argentina’s Top Event Planners

Collaboration Story from Argentina: When Premium Crepe Paper Became the Specified Choice for Top Event Planners

Our long-term partner in Argentina is an importer in Buenos Aires specializing in high-end event materials. Their client list includes many well-known local wedding planners and brand event agencies.

At the beginning of our collaboration, they presented us with a very specific requirement: they needed a matte crepe paper that “doesn’t look gray under lighting.” Their previous European supplier’s product was good, but prices kept rising yearly, and logistics costs for small orders remained high. They hoped to find an alternative that maintained the same quality but offered a more flexible and cost-effective supply chain.

We understood that for companies serving high-end clients, subtle material differences are crucial. Instead of hastily recommending standard products, we first sent over twenty samples from three different series of Crepe Paper and Color Paper, including some special colors specifically formulated for event decor.

They gave these samples to several collaborating designers for a “blind test.” Feedback came quickly—two of our matte colors performed best in multiple stretch tests, showing excellent recovery and color retention, making them ideal for large hanging decorations and complex floral shapes.

Based on this trust, they placed their first official order. The first major wedding using our material was a great success. The photographer particularly noted that the crepe paper backdrop remained richly colored and softly textured under strong photographic lighting, without the expected glare or color shift. Images from this wedding were later featured by several design media, inadvertently providing the best endorsement for our product.

This success was just the beginning. Now, our crepe and color papers have become their primary recommended base materials for high-end clients. What pleases us even more is that, with newfound confidence in our supply chain, they’ve started accepting large, time-sensitive project orders they previously would have hesitated to take.

“Consistent quality allows us to make promises, and flexible supply allows us to keep them,” is how they summarize our partnership. Today, we are exploring together how to develop the next season’s thematic color series for Argentina’s growing creative and cultural market.
